A tale told at every dawn
Every dawn, someone walks into the Old Woods to become strong enough to slay the balaur that bleeds this isle. Down the river lie other woods, other guardians, and at the end the place where nobody grows old.
Today that someone is you.

Along the old river the woods still keep their guardians: the balaur in its lair, the strigoi at the crossroads, the Mother of the Forest who misleads travellers, the ielele dancing in the clearings.
Every isle has its village, its inn and its smith, and every wood a gate that opens only once its guardian is slain.
Down the river wait the next woods, and at the end, the place where nobody grows old.
Old Woods is a text game in daily turns: a handful of hunts each dawn, a fight read line by line, gold for the smith, a bed at the inn, and tomorrow the woods again.
Take a minute or an evening; the woods are waiting.
